Po ZHA is the visionary founder of Cimizhu Estate, having departed from his banking career in 2007 to return to his hometown and immerse himself in the coffee planting industry. In 2009, he meticulously selected a site and established Cimizhu Estate. Initially, Po ZHA faced challenges in promoting coffee cultivation within the village due to a lack of familiarity and understanding among the villagers. Undeterred, he persisted in his efforts, gradually involving the villagers in the coffee planting industry.

Po ZHA implemented a system where he remunerates the villagers based on the quality of coffee cherries, offering additional rewards for high-quality households. This strategic approach has propelled Cimizhu Estate toward specialization in specialty coffee, earning it the 2nd Prize (Unwashed category) in the esteemed Best of Yunnan Green Coffee Competition in 2022. By 2014, Cimizhu Estate boasted a plantation area of 719 acres, producing 580 tons of coffee cherries that year.

Simultaneously, the estate prioritizes the development of local expertise, providing comprehensive training to villagers in coffee pruning, cultivation, and harvesting. Continuous efforts are made to optimize coffee varieties, aiming to enhance both yield and bean quality.

Po ZHA's overarching vision is to guide the villagers into the coffee industry, transforming the current socioeconomic landscape and elevating the living conditions of the village, fostering a life of happiness and prosperity.

In terms of processing, the coffee cherries at Cimizhu Estate undergo selective hand-picking followed by pulping. Subsequently, a meticulous dry fermentation process occurs in a controlled environment for 480 hours. Depending on weather conditions, the parchment is then dried, allowing it to rest for one month, with regular turning to ensure consistent drying. This rigorous processing methodology contributes to the exceptional quality of Cimizhu Estate's coffee.
