About the Producer
Felipe Luzón is one of the pioneering coffee growers of Palanda, a fertile region in Ecuador's Southern Amazon. Historically better known for cocoa, the region is increasingly showing its potential for exceptional specialty coffee.
Felipe has been part of that progression, cultivating improved and hybrid Typica varieties in Palanda's fertile Amazonian soils and continually working to elevate the quality of coffee produced on his farm.
About the Lot
Ripe cherries are carefully selected and depulped before fermentation. The coffee is then washed to remove the remaining mucilage and carefully dried on patios or raised beds, often protected beneath plastic or mesh covers. This careful washed approach is also the process described on the finished Offshoot coffee card.
