A Truly Special Lot from Finca Quebradita
Finca Quebradita spans 18 hectares across Colombia’s majestic central mountain range in Huila, with elevations between 1600 and 1850 metres. While the farm still maintains some traditional cultivars like Caturra and Colombia, its vision is firmly set on specialty varieties, including some of the world’s most celebrated genetics—Geisha, Sidra, Wush Wush, Chiroso, and of course, this stunning Orange Bourbon.
This particular lot showcases a citric yeast-inoculated fermentation, following a precise sequence:
Initial 36-hour fermentation of hand-selected cherries (80% minimum ripeness),
Followed by a 48-hour fermentation phase using a citrus yeast starter,
Then slow dried over 76 hours at an average of 40°C, and finally stabilised before milling.
The result? A coffee that explodes with citrus complexity, layered stone fruit sweetness, and an aromatic floral lift that is utterly captivating.
