About the Producer
Patio Bonito is a family-run farm led by Carlos Arturo Trujillo, who has spent nearly 50 years perfecting his craft in the mountains of Caldono, Cauca. Alongside his daughter Paola Trujillo, a seasoned cupper and coffee buyer, the Trujillos have refined their approach to coffee processing through knowledge, experimentation, and shared passion.
After returning to the farm in 2022, Paola introduced new fermentation innovations, including controlled thermal shock and anaerobic modulation techniques, elevating both their washed and natural profiles. Their partnership with Café Imports, dating back to 2015, continues to strengthen the bridge between generations—ensuring that the Trujillos’ values and commitment endure well into the future.
About this Lot
This washed Gesha comes from the family’s 11-hectare farm, where over 47,000 coffee trees flourish under careful management. The farm’s ideal elevation, rich soils, and focus on soil conservation, food security, and environmental education create an ecosystem where quality and sustainability thrive hand in hand.
