About the Producer
Sebastian Ramirez is a fourth-generation coffee producer based in Quindío, Colombia, and the driving force behind Finca El Placer. Over the years, Sebastian has built a reputation for producing some of Colombia’s most expressive and thoughtfully processed coffees. His approach blends deep respect for tradition with a constant curiosity for improvement, focusing on variety selection, careful fermentation, and slow, controlled drying to maximise clarity and balance in the cup.
About the Lot
This Sidra lot is fully washed and carefully fermented to highlight the variety’s natural aromatic potential rather than overpower it. After selective harvesting and meticulous cherry classification, the coffee undergoes controlled anaerobic fermentation before slow drying under managed conditions. The result is a cup that feels polished and transparent, allowing the Sidra variety to shine with elegant fruit, subtle spice, and a refreshing herbal lift.
This is another exciting and limited release from Sebastian Ramirez, and one we are especially proud to share. A rare filter coffee that rewards attention and showcases why Sebastian remains one of our favourite producers to work with.
